The trans himalayas have four parts karakoram, laddhak , zaskar , kailash .The highest peak of karakoram range is k2 mt. its also called 'godwin Austin' and the height of k2 mt. is 8612m and shyok river flows between karakoram range and laddhak range .The karakoram range has the great concentration of such important glacier like itispor , biafo , bafaro , siachen etc. siachen glacier is the second largest non polar glacier in the world .
